I was born in Liverpool (England) and was raised between my hometown and Dublin (Ireland). My passion for photography began at an early age after “borrowing” an old SLR from my uncle, who also pursued photography.
I have photographed architecture, people, bands and events over a broad part of Europe (including the UK, Italy, Germany, France and Spain). Then in 2007, I emigrated to the US where I continued to shoot and work on other freelance projects. Over the past 7 years, I have been working between the Bay Area and Southern California. After spending three and a half years in San Francisco, I now currently live in San Diego, aka paradise.
I earned a BA with Honors in Digital Graphic Design at the University of Huddersfield, while simulataneously continuing to work as a photographer and designer throughout my academic career.
Being able to integrate and fuse my love for graphics and personal photography gives me a real connection to my work. Over the years, I have developed image manipulation skills and editing techniques. In addition, my understanding of composition and lighting has greatly expanded. Furthermore, I am able work in varying areas of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) and branding, which gives me a well rounded knowledge of print and digital media.
